HABEKOST, Ralph, age 80 of Eaton, OH., formerly of West Alexandria, OH. passed away Sat. Nov. 5, 2016 in Dayton.  He was born in West Alexandria, OH. on April 14, 1936 to Carl and Nina (Heisman) Habekost.  Ralph was a 1954 graduate of West Alexandria High School and had attended Wilmington College for several years.  He was the former owner of L & H Block Company, now Wilson Block.  He was a volunteer fireman, member of O.E.S., #182    King Hiram F. & A.M. Lodge #88, member of West Alexandria Kiwanis Club, and taught Sunday School at Salem Lutheran Church for 20 years.  He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Habekost, 2 daughters, Rebecca Habekost Simon, and Cathy (Steve) Snyder, sister, Carol Lunsford, brother, Carl (Melinda)  Habekost, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Ralph Habekost Jr. on Aug. 26, 2011.  A memorial service will be held Friday, Nov. 11, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church, West Alexandria, OH. with  Rev. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Steve and the rest of the family
at this sad time. What a full life Ralph had, and I always found his fight the last few years to be very inspirational. I know you miss him dearly but you certainly have many fond times to remember.
