Cecil G. McClain, age 82 of Gratis, OH was born on July 21st, 1933 to Mac and Inez McClain. He was a Lifelong Preble County resident and passed away suddenly on June 29th, 2016 at Vancrest Nursing Home in Eaton, OH. Cecil was employed at Armco Steel for 38 years, retiring in 1993. Cecil’s love for children with his wife Mary, together adopted four children and had one biological son. Also through the years Cecil and Mary fostered numerous children. He loved music, the organ was one of his favorite instruments to play. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Felicia, his mother and father, his stepfather, Orville Haas, his son, Greg McClain. Left to cherish his memory is his four children, Jeff (Rachel) McClain of Maysville,KY, Dan (Gidget) McClain of Camden, OH., James McClain of Trenton, OH., and LeAnn Ferguson of Sandpoint, ID., his brother Bill (Peggy) McClain of Camden, OH., and sister Elvie Forman of Montana and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and very special family member, Betty Henderson. Visitation will be held at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral home in Gratis, OH on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 11 am to 1pm, with a funeral following at 1PM.
