Utz, Michael Douglas, age 65 of Brookville, OH. passed away Sunday June 26, 2016 in Dayton, OH. He was born in Dayton, OH on February 18, 1951 to Byron and LaDonna Utz. Michael enjoyed life whether it was sports or gardening or tickle fights with his granddaughter, he loved being outdoors. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Donna (McGraw) Utz, Brookville, OH., his son, Lance Garrett Turner, Brookville, OH., his Granddaughter, Savannah Grace Turner, Brookville, OH., his sister, Teresa (Jerry) Winkler, Eaton, OH., his brother, Don Utz, West Alexandria, OH., sister-in-law, Deborah Gay Utz, Gadsden, AL., and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gary Utz. Friends may call at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home in West Alexandria, OH on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 5-8PM. The funeral will be held Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 11AM at the funeral home with Pastor John Monroe officiating. In lou of flowers donations may be made to Pyrmont United Methodist Church. To Donna & all the family: You & all family will be in my prayers in getting through this hard time. Mike was a truly Christian person & a fun guy to know. I'll never forget the one year he was my "prayer partner" at church & he gave me a really nice book marker (which I still use) & you told me that Mike had really nice bookmarkers himself but still used torn off toilet paper. Our sincere sympathy for your loss. You have such a close family, we know how devastating this is for you. Mike was such a wonderful man, always so great to talk to. He was one of the nicest people in the world!! He has left a permanent mark in the hearts of so many!!

Donna, Teresa, Donny - What a great friend and cool guy Mike was. Too many stories to list here. He was so much fun to be around and always lent me a helping hand when I needed one. I was honored that he thought of me a friend. I will miss him.

Dear Donna,
When we spoke Sunday all I could think of was Mike's incredible smile. He had a way to make everyone in his life feel so special. I remember when Savannah was born and if I thought your smile was large all I had to do was look at Mike. His face was as bright as the sun! He was making plans as she laid in her crib.He is a true child of God! The way he led his life, he was so filled with the spirit of Christ. May God hold you in the palm of his hand and give you peace.

To Michael's family,
I am deeply saddened to hear of Mike's passing. He was always such a genuinely nice person even back in the day of riding the school bus together. I am so glad that I was able to visit with him at the reunions.
