LOXLEY, John David, age 80, of Eaton, OH. passed away Sat. Feb. 20, 2016 in Dayton.  He was born in Preble County, OH on Jan. 11, 1936 to George and Ethel (Price) Loxley.  He was a graduate of Lanier High School, West Alexandria, OH. and Ohio  University in Athens.  He was a civil engineer and retired in 1996 after 32 years at ODOT.  John was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He was a member of St. John Church, where he had service in many offices, including President and Deacon, former member of West Alexandria Kiwanis Club, former director of West Alexandria Swimming Pool Board, and former President of Pheasant Run Village, and former co-owner of Richmond L & H Block Co.  John is survived by his wife of 31 years, Pat Loxley, 3 daughters, Beth (John) Bassler, W. Alexandria, OH., Jodi (Greg) Stacy, Brookville, OH., Kristin (Tom) Ehler, W. Alexandria, OH., 4 stepchildren, Judy Noxsel, Huber Heights, OH., Janet (Dan) Jones, Springboro, OH., Roger (Wanda) Wilt, Columbus, OH., Ronnie (Sheila) Wilt, Louisville, KY., brother, Richard (Carole) Loxley, Centerville, IN., 8 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren,sister-in-law, Norma Loxley, Centerville, OH., numerous nieces, nephews and his beloved dog “Sport”,  He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, William Loxley and sister and her family, Barbara Davis.  Funeral services will be held 1:30 P.M. Fri. Feb. 26, 2016 at St. John Church, W. Alexandria, OH. with Rev. Mark Moore officiating.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.  Friends may call at the church on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until 1:30 P.M.   Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Memorial donations may be made to St. John Church or Twin Valley South Athletic Dept.   For condolences: www.lindloffzimmerman.com

So many fond memories of this man, and his family, My best friend Jodi, my sister in Law Kristin, and a great friend Beth. Spent so much time at their house growing up, and Loved these gals parents so much, always a good time at this house, always made everyone welcome, and it was always the GO TO Place... Got to see John throughout the years , here and there , always a smile and a Hug... A Great Man.. He will be missed so much.. Pat , Jodi, Kristin, Beth , and all the grandkids and families, my heartfelt sympathy .. Love to you all...

John was like a brother to me during the years he and my sister Carol were married, and I was very happy when he and Pat became part of my life while I was living with her for two years.
