SUMMERS, Dale, age 67 of West Alexandria, OH. passed away Sun. Jan. 24, 2016 in Dayton. He was born in Dayton on March 8, 1948 to Dale E. and Betty (Uhrig) Summers. Dale was a 1966 graduate of Twin Valley South High School. He owned and operated the Valley Carpet Store in West Alexandria for over 42 years. He was preceded in death by his parents. He loved antiques, auctions, streetrods and his family. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda Summers, W. Alexandria, OH. son, Steve (Cheri) Summers, daughter, Debbie (Tony) Berry, all of Eaton, OH., 4 grandchildren, Kari (Kyle) Romine, W. Carrollton, OH., Steve Summers Jr. (Tasha West), West Alexandria, OH., Eric (Kristina) Berry, Independence, KY., Michael Berry, Covington, KY., 6 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Vicky (Bob) Severance, Conyers, GA., Doris Roth, Centerville, OH., Billie Gebers, W. Alexandria, OH., Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Thurs. Jan. 28, 2016 at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home, West Alexandria, OH. with Rev. Laura Cavendish officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call at Lindloff-Zimmerman on Wed. from 5:00 to 8:00PM. Memorial donations may be made to West Alexandria EMS. Thoughts and prayers for the entire family. Dale was quite the character at Southwestern Bowl. He was always polite and shared a smile regardless of what he bowled. It was always nice to see the family bowling on Sunday evenings. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.
