BLANTON, Charles W. “Charlie”, age 84, of Gratis, OH.,  went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Heartland of Miamisburg. He was born in Tanyard, KY on December 5, 1930 to Robert and Eva (Cravens) Blanton.  He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and retired from Harrison Radiator in Moraine, OH.  He attended First Brethren Church in Gratis, Ohio.  He loved reading his Bible and country living.  He is survived by his wife of 47 years Joan (Johnston) Blanton of Gratis, Ohio, his brother Richard of Gulfport, Mississippi,  his son Daniel Charles “Chuck” Blanton of Gratis, OH, daughter Faith (Tony) Coffey of Franklin, Ohio, grandsons Carson and Charles Coffey of Franklin, OH, numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Eva Blanton, brothers Eugene and Calvin, his sisters Ruby, Ruth, Vervle, Dillon, and Augusta.   Visitation will be  Sat. Aug. 8, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at First Brethren Church in Gratis, OH with funeral at 12:00 P.M. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Gratis. For Condolences: www.lindloffzimmerman.com
