BALON, Leal E. Sr., age 78 of Gratis Township, died Mon. June 8, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Middletown, OH. on June 2, 1937 to Scott E. and Dorothy (Rogers) Balon. He was a graduate of Franklin High School. Mr. Balon was a self-employed carpenter. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nancy Balon, 4 children, Leal E. Balon Jr. (Nancy Coffey) of Camden, OH., Rebecca Balon, Hamilton, OH., RaeJean (Jack) Holland, Trenton, OH., William (Michelle) Balon, Springboro, OH., many grandchildren, great grandchildren and step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, his brother-in law and sister-in-law, Calvin and Carolyn Collier, Fairborn, OH., nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Ben Balon in 2004, grandson, Michael Balon in 2007. Mr Balon was a member of C.B.N. and he loved all animals, wild and domestic. Funeral services will be held 1:30 P.M. Thurs. June 11, 2015 at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home, Gratis, OH. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Gratis, OH.
