Carolyn & Family,
I was at the hospital Saturday visiting a family member and saw your family members in the ICU hall. I did not ask or realize that it was Wes. You have my deepest sympathies. It is hard to feel sadness for I know Wes is in a much better place and rejoicing with a renewed and healed body. May you all find peace in that knowledge and know that you will see him again someday; for we know He holds your future as well.

Although no doubt we were distant cousins, I knew Wes more as a friend and as the best guy to do plastering. Always, I knew him back around 1968-1970 when the Ascension Church was being birthed. My deepest sympathies to the family. I know that Wes and my mother had several very meaningful conversations about their beliefs.

I got to know your dad through your parents visits to our dorm at Elim, getting to spend some of Thanksgiving break with you guys, and visits while you lived down the road. That trip to the Public Market last summer was such a great day, and your dad was such an amazing, funny, sweet, strong man of God. He left such a legacy in his kids, and I'm so glad I get the privilege to know your beautiful family. Sending my deepest condolences and biggest hugs. Love you guys.

I am so sorry to hear about Mr Brubaker's passing. I'm glad to have known him the short time that I did and enjoyed visiting with him during his clinic visits. What a compassionate man who always put up with my teasing and sarcasm. God has claimed a good one for sure!

Carolyn, We are so sad for you and your family. It still seems unbelievable! We just spoke to him on the phone 2 weeks ago! The things people are writing on FB are expressing so much of what we feel toward Wes: admiration, respect, sadness, joy, loss, love.......to name a few. We will always remember the good times we've had with you all over the years. His wonderful work in our basement is one keepsake we love. We know he is having a ball with our granddaughter, Sarah, and MANY other people who have gone on before. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Sympathy goes out to Wes's family in his passing. He was a caring loving man who shared and visited many residents at Heartland of Eaton when I was activity directory. He also did services for me on Sunday afternoon giving back his love of God to the residents in their time of need. He now rest and peace has come in his suffering. God Bless Each of You. Carolyn and family... during my brief time at New Hope UMC I got to know Wes and you a little bit. He certainly was always caring and kind to me and I know he was very respected in the community. His life impacted many people and he trule "walked the talk" of his faith. I am sending a hug to you all during this time and praying for God's continued peace and love to be with you during this time of sadness but also remembering all the wonderful memories.

Dearest Carolyn and family, As we left the church after the funeral I said to Larry, "You and Wes had so much in common." Larry said, "Wes was 66 and I'm 65. When I grow up I want to be just like Wes." You are so precious to us. We are grateful to God that we get to experience you. Loving you in Christ, Larry and Angie

So sorry for your loss. I was so shocked when I read about Wes's passing in the Register Herald. I remember at the Brubaker Reunions, everyone would catch up on each others lives. Without these reunions anymore, years get away from us.
With the passing of my brother (Steve Deaton) and both of my parents, (Donald & Mary Deaton) Aunt Rachel (Deaton/Shank/Flora) and Uncle (Bob Deaton) the family ties seem to have come undone.
Sending prayers to all the family.
Sincerely,
Sarah (Deaton) Ward & Family
