Dick Zukowitz will be truly missed. A man of humility and grace. The world was a better place with him in it. Fly with the angles Dick. I feel blessed to have known you.

Dear Nancy and Mark:

Roger and I are so sorry we will not be able to make it to Dick's Memorial Service.

Dick was one of our most favorite people, and we will miss him! We are thankful that we both have such wonderful memories of this marvelous man. We cannot even imagine the Short Wing Piper Club without him. What a pleasure it was to have known him, and to have been a small part of his life.

Mark, be sure to bring your Mom to a Short Wing meeting once in awhile. Even though your Dad is gone, he will always be a part of our group. He will never be forgotten!! What a special man he was! We had such fun in Alaska with you and your Dad. What a memorable trip it was for all of us!

Nancy, we hope to see you sometime soon. Roger has sold his planes and is out of the flying business, but hopefully we will meet somewhere, and soon! Our love and our hearts go out to you at this time. We know we must all face this kind of a loss at some point, but it is never easy when it comes!

Our love to you both. Please know that we will be thinking of you on Thursday. God Bless!

Love, and many hugs,
Roger and Carol

Dear Carol,

What a dear soul your father was to me throughout our "roomie" days at IU, always inviting me out for dinner when your folks were in town and expressing concern for my welfare. We always had a good laugh together whenever we had the opportunity to connect over these many years. He couldn't have been prouder of you. We'll all miss his wonderful spirit!

I'm so sorry I can't be there in person, but my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. Love to all!

Helen & Graham

I am sad to learn of Mr. Zukowitz's death. I've learned by experience how difficult it is to say goodbye to a close and loved family member, even when suffering is severe. May God be with all of you as you enter this next phase of your lives.

Sincerely,

Jeff Studebaker

Dear Carol:

I just realized in re-reading our first message that I was referring to Mark as your Dad and Mom's son. I apologize for that, Carol. However, I know that they were very close. How wonderful that is when the man you marry is loved by your Mom and Dad as their own. We got to know Mark in Alaska, and enjoyed his company so much.

What a lucky girl you are to have had such a special Dad! As you know, we all loved him and are so honored to have been a small part of his life.

Please know that we will be thinking of you tomorrow and praying that God will help you through this.

With love, and God Bless!
Roger and Carol Herrett

Nancy, Mark, and Carol,
Your husband, father-in-law, and Dad, was the best! Mark-sorry you missed Carol's high school basketball games and her band exploits at TVS. I assure you though, Nancy and Dick did not miss a one. They were always present at every concert, competition, and gig. That tradition continued at IU and I am sure it was common place to see them at your daughter's events too! Thanks for sharing such a wonderful man.
