CARR, George W., age  81,  of West Alexandria, OH. died Wed. Nov. 14, 2012 at his residence. He was born Mar. 30, 1931 to John and Ora (Tackett) Carr.  He had retired after 30 years at Dayton Tire & Rubber and also as a farmer for 35 years.  He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margaret (McQueen) Carr, 4 daughters, Donna Gail (Ted) Baker, Dinah Dale McQueen, Nona Sue (Joey) Williams, Rhonda Lue (Doug) Maggard, all of West Alexandria, OH., 12 grandchildren, Misty (Eric) Clayton, Christy (Ova) Ashley, Kerri (Jason) Lautensleger, Jason (Sharon) McQueen, Jamey (Kelly) McQueen, Sharon Azzalina & Rex, Nancy (Bobby) Clark, Mindy (Vincent) Jones, Michael Williams, Elizabeth (Matt) Roberts, Matthew (Hannah) Maggard,  16 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Ray Carr, Berea, KY., Paul Carr, Richmond, KY., 2 sisters, Pearl Marcum, Jackson County, KY. and Inez Clemons, Hamilton, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law Ricky McQueen, 2 brothers, Raymond Carr, Leonard Carr, 2 sisters, Verna Deaton and Wilma Turner. Funeral services for Mr. Carr will be held 11:00 A.M.   Sat. Nov. 17, 2012 at Eaton First Church of God with Rev. Jerry Reynolds and Rev. Jeremy Halstead officiating.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria, OH.  Friends may call at the church on Friday from 5-8PM. and one hour prior to the funeral. Uncle George was the strong silent type--typical of the real men of his generation. Just like Gil Favor in Rawhide--he would bring his family to the yearly family reunions in Kentucky then "Head em up and Move em out" back to Ohio in the extra large RV.
