Hugh Sauer touched so many lives in Northridge in so many very positive ways. He was an educator, administrator, local historian, veteran, friend, mentor, and musician. Thank you Hugh, for taking a chance and hiring a rookie teacher in 1968. God bless the Sauer family and his many friends.

The class of '59 was so honored to have Mr Sauer at our 50th reunion. Many of us knew him as band director as well as principal. He was a wonderful influence on our lives and I was priviledged to know him.

Though Hugh lived a long and enriched life, we are saddened by his passing.
We visited often with Hugh and Joan, and later with Hugh at Greenbriar. They were interesting, delightful people. Hugh always had an inspiring story to tell, and he remained dedicated to a better society--and current in politics--throughout his life.
Know that your family is in our thoughts

Hugh lived a long and enriched life, and we are saddened by his passing.
We visited often with Hugh and Joan in West Alexandria, and later with Hugh in his apartment. They were interesting, delightful people.
Hugh was full of inspiring stories about the people he knew. He remained dedicated to a better society--always current in politics--throughout his life.
Please know, Vickie and family, that you are in our thoughts.

One of the most fascinating people I ever met. Humble in his contributions to America and his region, Hugh Sauer's legacy will live on in the students he touched and people he inspired. Nice life Hugh. Way to go.
