COX, Jewell McQueen, age 79, of West Alexandria, OH, died Mon. July 30, 2012 in Dayton.  She was born Aug. 17, 1932 in Jackson County, KY. to Carrie McQueen.  She worked many years as a waitress in the Dayton area. She was a member of Eaton First Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse, in 2001.  She is survived by her brother, Hiram (Jean) McQueen, McKee, KY., sister, Margaret (George) Carr, West Alexandria, OH.,  many nieces and nephews, cousins that dearly loved her and her special dog,  LiLo.  She was also preceded in death by her mother, Carrie McQueen Reece, special grandparents, Price and Ellen McQueen, brothers, Paul McQueen, Charlie Minter, sisters, Opal Stevens, Hallie Williams, Cordie  Isaacs and her dog, Herman. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made to Eaton First Church of God, 601 E. Jewell was a special person and a very dear friend,she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.Our prayers and thoughts are with her family at this difficult time.May God bless you.

Jewell was a sweet country lady. She was always smiling . It was so kind of her to share of her last visit with my husband in the hospital a year ago, on the day he passed away. Now they are visiting in spirit and enjoying forever that peace that passes understanding.

I'm sorry to hear of Jewel's passing. I know you were so close to her & took great care of her until the Lord said, "I've got it from here." take comfort in knowing that she is with our savior and is pain and cancer free. Deepest of sympathy to you & your family.
