GABBARD,  Bessie Jane., age 80, of Gratis, OH. died Sat. February 11, 2012.  She was born in Middletown, OH. on March 19, 1931 to Hobart and Edna (Parlett) Bowman.   She had retired from Dayton Flexible in Eaton after working many years.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas in 2003.  Survivors include 2 sons, Thomas (Alene) Gabbard Jr., East Bernstadt, KY., Benjamin David Gabbard, Middletown, OH., 4 daughters, Bernida (Lewis) Myers, Franklin, OH., Linda (Elmo) Woods, Gratis, OH., Rebecca (TJ) Noah, New Tazwell, TN., Betty Lou (Gary) Miller, Gratis, OH., 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, brother, William Bowman and sister, Barbara Townsend, both of Middletown, OH., and special brother-in-law, John Gabbard.  Also deceased were her parents, an infant son, William Jacob Gabbard in 1956, brothers, Barry Bowman, Robert Bowman, Keith Bowman, Bud Bowman, sisters Beatrice Marshall, Betty Long, and grandson, Brett Miller, grandson-in-law, Jason Williams.  Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM. Wed. Feb. 15, 2012 at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home in Gratis, OH. with Rev. Steve Wright and Rev. Shawn Wilges officiating.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Gratis, OH.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Wed. from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.

Grandma, God reunited you with my Papaw. I know in my heart it was a joyous occassion. I wasn't here when you joined this world but I am ever so blessed to have been a part of the peace as you left. You will forever be in my heart and thoughts. I miss you and I love you with all my heart.

although i cry tears,,those tears are for my own selfishness..i am sooo happy you made it "home". if ever a person deserved to get to go to heaven it was you grandma..im so blessed n thankful for the 33 years i was given with you as my grandma..il never forget the bible studies, church, prayers, garden, canning greanbeans, fishing, everything..im happy for you....il love you always!
