CONING, Harold Eugene, age 85, of Miamisburg, OH. died Fri. Feb. 3, 2012.  He was born in New Lebanon, OH. on June 2, 1926 to Karl and Minnie (Fahrenholz) Coning.  He was a graduate of Dixie High School and entered the U.S. Navy during WWII.  He  retired from National Cash Register in Dayton, OH.  He also worked as a custodian for Dixie High School.  He was a member of James E. Ryan Post #322 American Legion in West Alexandria, member of New Lebanon Lions Club and St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Farmersville, OH.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Coning in 2006.  He is survived by 2 children, Mark Coning, Boca Raton, FL., Jane (Garry) Moore), New Lebanon, OH., 3 granddaughters, Amy (Ryan) Hegyi, Galloway, OH., Abby (Kyle) Dudley, Beavercreek, OH., Megan Coning, Eugene, OR., 2 great grandchildren, Adeline Hegyi, Gabriel Dudley and a special niece, Diane Coning, Cincinnati, OH.  Also deceased were his parents, brother, Donald Coning and nephew, Bill Coning.  Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Wed. Feb. 8, 2012 at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home in West Alexandria, OH. with Rev. Larry Lindstom officiating.  Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria, OH.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Tues. from 6-8PM.  Donations may be made to St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Farmersville, OH. or Hospice of Dayton. Jane, Mark and Family...I am so sorry for your loss....I loved your dad, he was a great person to work for and quickly became my friend...I will deeply miss him. Unfortunately I cannot make the memorial...but know you are in my thoughts and prayers...Sincerely, JULIE SALLEY

Jane, Mark and Families,
I was so sorry to hear about your Dad. I had stopped by the hospital but he had already been taken to Hospice. I didn''''t hear the news until Tues. evening while at work. I am sorry to have missed the funeral also. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I know you have so many memories in your heart and we wish you a moment of peace for every one.
