SELBY, Ronald, age 81 of West Alexandria, OH. died suddenly Sat. Nov. 5, 2011 at his residence.  He was born in Middletown on Feb. 16, 1930 to Karl and Clara (Babbington) Selby.  He was a graduate of Middletown High School.  He was a United States Air Force veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.  He was an avid pilot, with over 60 years flight experience and was a flight instructor, and was the former president of Middletown Aviation Club.  He had loved golf and bowling and was also a master builder and he was a ham radio operator for his whole adult life.  He was a member of Middletown American Legion. He had retired from Armco Steel in 1992 after 44 years.  He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sondra Selby, West Alexandria, OH., 3 children, Denise Younce, Clermont, FL., Michael (Jennifer) Selby, Eaton, OH., Susan Selby, Dayton, OH., His pride and joy was his 3 grandchildren, Kristen Elliott, N.C., Heather Selby and Aaron Selby, both of Eaton., 1 great granddaughter, Ava Elliott, N.C.  Also survived by a sister, Delores Baker, FL. brother-in-law, David Meyer, West Alexandria, OH., numerous nieces and nephews. Dear Aunt Sondra, Denise, Michael, and Susan,

Mother, Scott, Celeste and I were very sorry to hear of Uncle Ron's passing. I'll never forget the wonderful summers we had at Grandma and Grandpa Selby's when the whole family was together. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
