Mike was a high school classmate and although our paths never much crossed I can still see his young smiling face. Rest in peace Mike and perhaps our paths will cross in Heaven later, I''m sure you''ll still have that wonderful smile. I hope your family remains strong and tight and will no doubt see you again in their next adventure after this earthly one.

I will always remember his infectious laugh, his passion for God and his intense love for his family. He also introduced many words to the English language, such as "doofy-balls". He could always make me smile - and was the kind of man that when you were with him, he made you feel as if you''d hung the moon. He will be missed, and am looking forward to seeing that incredible smile again in Heaven. Our prayers go out to his family today.

Connie and Family: How lucky you all were to have been the center of Mike''s life and to have had him the same. We will continue to "Have Big Faith" and "Pray Hard" for all that are in need of such all in the rememberance of Mike as we do feel he will help guide us all to our lord jesus christ, in the name of the father and son and holy ghost, if we just believe. We know God is going to keep Mike very busy and he will just smile being so proud to do his work. It has been said before but can''t be said too many times.....What an amazing man Mike was. Your love for Mike and each other and the lord will get you through this.....HAVE BIG FAITH....AND YOU KNOW THE REST.

I''m so sorry to hear about Mike''s passing. He was a wonderful man. I worked with him at Les Mack and we had many wonderful conversations about things important to us...family, friends, and our faith. He always looked out for me like a "dad" and was just a great person. He may be gone, but you''ll always have wonderful memories. Heaven just got a great angel...I''m sure he''s up there watching over his loved ones now.

To the family of Mike, I am truly sorry for your loss. Mike was a high school classmate of mine. While I haven''t had interactions with Mike over the years, I will always remember his kindness. He was always very soft spoken, had an easy smile, and never engaged in the social "games" that many times can happen in high school. He was kind to everyone. God bless you, Mike, as you journey home to meet with your Lord and Savior and those who have gone before you. Thanks for the memories.

Our family is profoundly saddened by the loss of Mike Bender to his family and to our community. I don''''t think I ever saw Mike without a smile on his face. His warmth, his humor, his geniune feelings for others will never be forgotten. The things I am hearing people across this community expressing regarding Mike''''s passing are things all of us would hope to be said about ourselves someday. The way he lived his life truly represented the things that are actually important in this world....dedication to family, to children, to community....symbolic of Christian principals. God''''s blessings, peace and comfort all of you...Connie, Cera, Aaron, Andrew and Betty.

Deb and I are shocked and very saddened by Mikes passing. We both worked with him at the Boscobel plant. He was always, and I mean always a joy to be around. A great smile (or smirk) to go along with a great sense of humor as well as being a very valuable coworker. We''''ve both got fond memories of him and even remember a good joke or two he told. He cared so much about doing things right and not letting people down that the one time I had to have a talk with him about something he''''d worked on that wasn''''t quite right, I couldn''''t get more serious than to tell him "Mike, just pretend I''''m yelling at you". I knew he already felt bad enough about whatever it was. He''''ll be missed, has always been in our memories, and the world is a little less bright without him. Our hearts go out to his family and friends, who he cared about so much.

I am in Colorado and just found out about Mike. When I was around Mike in the 1990s, he was a man of God, a wonderful friend. He always had a smile on his face, a prayer on his lips and a hug in his hands. Now he is singing the Praises where it really counts up in Heaven wth his Lord, Jesus Christ. No words can help you Connie and family for your loss. Sorry.
