Russel D. Riggs, age 54 of Steuben passed away on Tuesday January 17, 2017 at Gundersen Hospital in LaCrosse. He was born on August 16, 1962 in Boscobel.  The son of Ronald and Sharon (Jones) Riggs.  He married Jill Blacconiere on September 6, 2001 in Crawford County Wisconsin.  He is survived by his wife Jill Riggs of Steuben. His children Russell Riggs of Boscobel, Trevor Riggs of Steuben, Tammy (Jeremy) McCracken of Ferryville, Phillip Blacconiere of Vancouver Wash., Michael Blacconiere of Boscobel, Julie (Ricky) Bryant of Steuben, Kayla (John) Capelle of Boscobel, Travis Wilkinson of Richland Center, Teena Riggs of Onalaska. His mother Sharon (Gene) Poore of Hiddenite N.C. His father Ronald (Mary) Riggs of Mt. Zion. 8 grandchildren. One brother Shan Riggs of Boscobel. Two sisters; Marceia (Stoney) Lawson of Boscobel, Connie (Dale) McCullick of Seneca.  He was preceded in death by two sisters Lori Riggs and Rhonda Riggs.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday January 22, 2017 at 4:00 P.M. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel. Pastor Charles Koester officiating. Burial at a later date in the Boydtown Cemetery rural Boscobel.  Friends may call on Sunday January 22, 2017 from 12:00 (Noon) until the time of service at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel.  Military honors will be accorded by the Blake-Semrad  American Legion Post #134 and the Gilbertson-Pitzer- Radley VFW Post #10393 both of Boscobel.  Online condolences can be sent to www.kendallfuneralservice.com
