Betty L. Baum, age 85 of Boscobel and formally of Lynxville passed away on Thursday December 15, 2016 at the Boscobel Care and Rehab in Boscobel, surrounded by her family.  She was born December 10, 1931 in Manchester Iowa.  The daughter of Lloyd and Fern (Joslyn) Faust. She married Robert "Bob" Baum in November of 1958 in Manchester IA.  Betty loved fishing, she was a board member of the Falling Rock Walleye club for over 10 years and sponsored several children for fishing  tournments. She enjoyed deer hunting . She was best known for her baking and cooking (We all remember her Christmas Candy). She worked very hard spoiling  her grand and great-grand children. In her early years she enjoyed snowmobiling , as a member of the Snow-Stingers Club for several years, and raised money for the Boscobel Fire Department. She was a member of the Boscobel Sportsman club . She also enjoyed crafts, needle point, knitting, sewing and decorating for the Holidays . She worked at Advance Transformer for 20 years.  She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Robert "Bob" Baum of Boscobel. Three daughters: Dedra (Ken) Middleton of Jacksonville ​FL Shelly (Glen) Updike Sr. of Boscobel, Cindy Grapes of Boscobel. A son Steve Grapes of Boscobel. 10 Grandchildren 12 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Charlie and Jack Faust. A sister Bev Howell .
Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday December 21, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel.  Pastor Mary Ann Floreke officiating. Burial in the Boscobel Cemetery, at a later date. Friends may call on Wednesday December 21, 2016 from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the Kendall  Funeral Home in Boscobel.  In lieu of flowers memorials can be given to the Alzheimer's association of Southeastern Wisconsin or to St. Croix Hospice of Platteville. Rob worked with Betty at advance and our son Kasey was in one of her children's fishing. Outing. She always had a friendly smile and gave him "crap" when she saw Rob . Deepest sympathy to all.
