Rudolph "Rudy" E. Dienes, age 92 of Blue River, passed away on Thursday December 15, 2016 at Boscobel Gundersen Hospital in Boscobel.  He was born on December 13, 1924 in Chicago Illinois. The son of Rudolf and Mary (Kovac) Dienes. He married Irene A. Mayers in December of 1955 in Chicago Illinois. He was a WWII Navy Veteran.  Rudy was a 32nd degree Mason, past master and a mason for  50 years.​ He also served as past commander of the Judd Kendal VFW he was also member   and officer in the American Legion both of Blue River. ​ He is survived by his wife Iren​e​ Dienes of Blue River. His children a son Gary (Marie) Dienes of Crown Point Ind., a daughter Nancy (William) Malesky of Bolingbrook Ill., a son in law Charles Cranmer of Naperville Ill.8 Grandchildren 9 Great-Grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two step children Elaine Cranmer, Anthony Baron.

Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday December 20, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel. Pastor Charles Koester officiating. Burial at a later date. Friends may call on Tuesday December 20, 2016 from 1:30 P.M. until the time of service at the Kendall Funeral Home. Military Honors will be accorded by the Gilbertson-Pitzer  Radley VFW Post 10393 and the Blake Semrad American Legion Post 134 both of Boscobel. Our deepest condolences to the family. We never had the chance to meet your dad Gary but am sure he was a very fine man because of the kind of person you are. Sorry we never got to meet him. Prayers for him, his wife and the family. He is in GODS hands now resting in peace.

Rudy was my VFW mentor and friend for over 20 years. Saddened by his passing but buoyed by the certainty he is at rest with Lord, I offer my sincere condolences to Irene and her family. He will be missed. God's Peace.
