Dr. William P. Schultz O.D. passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 16, 2016 at the Boscobel Care and Rehab in Boscobel. He was born on October 21, 1926 in LaCrosse Wisconsin. The son of Theodore and Marie (Schade) Schultz. He married Elaine Cox on May 31, 1951 in LaCrosse. She preceded him in death on March 15, 2014. Dr. Schultz was a long time member of the Boscobel Kiwanis Club, a member of the Boscobel Library board, and the American Optometric Association for 60 years. He served in WWII in the Navy. He Loved to play golf scoring a few hole in one's. He sang tenor in the church choir along with singing in barbershop quartet's. Doc loved to travel he took family camping trips after researching every nook and cranny of the trip before they left. He also loved the sweet and sour soup from China King, and last of all he loved to mow the lawn. He is survived by his children Lisa (Tom) Molumby of Fair Play S.C. Kurt Schultz of Boscobel, Karla Schultz of Dallas Tx., He was preceded in death by his parents along with 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Monday November 21, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ with pastor William Rettig officiating. Burial in the Boscobel Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday November 21, 2016 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Boscobel from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Military honors will be accorded by the Blake Semrad American Legion Post #134 and the Gilbertson-Pitzer Radley VFW Post #10393 both of Boscobel. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Boscobel Library.
