Dateline- Boscobel

     Lyle A. Turner, 75, of Boscobel, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.

     He was born September 15, 1940, in Boscobel, the son of Herbert and Una (Corpian) Turner.

      A loved brother of eight siblings, he grew up in Boscobel and was a graduate of Boscobel High School, where he played football.

       At the age of 14, he filled out a job application with his father's company, H. Turner and Sons, and began his construction career.  He continued in the road construction business until his retirement in 2002.

         August 13, 1961 he married Mabelle Achenbach at St. John's Lutheran Church in Boscobel. Together they had four children: Mark (Kelly) of Tomah; Philip (Inna) of Whitefish Bay; Paul (Kimberly) of New Berlin; and Melissa of Madison.  They were blessed with eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  Grandchildren included, Troy (Kris), Felicia , Hannah, Zackary, Jacob, Kaitlin, Daniel, Ryan, Deavan, Mazy, and Masan.  Great-Grandchildren include Tayden, Kiela, Ethan, Jaymin, and Emeri.

          He is survived by his wife Mabelle, of fifty-five years. Brothers Harold (Marlene) of Dubuque Iowa, Verne (Sharon), Menomonee Falls: Sisters Leona (the late Bob) Blair, Boscobel, Millie (the late Gene) Ray, and Alice (Mel) Trombley, both of East Troy, and  sister in law Pearl (Late Lloyd) Turner, and many Nieces,  Nephews and cousins.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Lowell "Butch" and Lloyd , and sister Ruth Guernsey.

              Lyle enjoyed watching old westerns, following the Packers and Badgers, and playing cards.

               Lyle loved his family, and he loved playing with his grandchildren: whom adored and admired him.

                Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 17, 2016,at 11:00 A.M. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Boscobel.  Pastor Charles Koester officiating. Burial in the Boscobel Cemetery.  Friends may call on Tuesday August 16, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel, and also at the church on Wednesday from 10:00A.M. Until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers memorials can be give to the Boscobel Rescue Squad or St. John's Lutheran Church in Boscobel.  Online condolence can be sent to www.kendallfuneralservice.com
