Hubert S. "Hugh" Bacon , age 84 of Boscobel, passed away on Sunday April 17, 2016 at his home with his wife at his side.  The son of Ally and Stella (Pettit) Bacon.  He was born on July 29, 1931 in Barnum Wisconsin, at Grandpa and Grandma Pettits house. He married Kay Broadbent on May 28. 1989 at the Boscobel United Methodist Church. Hubert was a career military man serving 12 years in the U.S. Air Force, and 15 years with the U.S. Army.  Hugh loved the great outdoors, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and shared his knowledge with others, as a guide for over 50 years.  He is survived by his wife Kay Bacon of Boscobel. Brother in Law Bobby Faulkner of McFarland. A sister Fayette Prestegard (Steve) of Waupaca. Special Cousins, Maynard Pettit of Burlington Wisconsin, and Emmit Pettit Fox River Grove Illinois, also by nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday May 14, 2016 at 1:30 P.M. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel with Lance Wetter officiating. A visitation for friends and family will be held prior to services May 14, 2016 from 11:00 A.M. until time of services  at 1:30 P.M. at the Kendall Funeral Home. For your comfort feel free to wear camouflage or denim.  Military honors will be accorded by the Blake-Semrad American Legion Post #134 and the Gilbertson-Pitzer-Radley VFW Post # 10393 both of Boscobel. In lieu of flowers memorials can be given to St. Labre Indian School in Ashland Montana, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis Tn. 38105.
