Ann Lee Obituary

Ann Marie (Haumschild) Lee, age 85 of Boscobel was granted her angel wings on September 28, 2015 after a short but courageous battle with lung cancer.  Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends who loved her.

Ann was born on February 27th, 1930 on a farm in the township of Aztalan WI.  She was the first of 10 children born to Lawrence and Mary (Gericke) Haumschild.  Ann spent her childhood working on the family farm, helping to attend to daily chores and care for her younger siblings.  Ann attended school in Johnson Creek and graduated in 1949.  After high school she went on to attend the University in Madison and a CNA course offered at St Mary’s Hospital.  After completing her studies she enlisted in the Army, which took her to the east coast.  Ann often shared memories of this special time in her life.  While in the army she met and married her husband Clarence Lee.  Five children were born of this twenty-three year union.  Larry (Barb) Lee of Jefferson, WI, Thomas Lee of Janesville, WI, Tyan (Lonnie) Zimpel of Boscobel, Brent (Lori) Lee of Oregon, WI, and Tina (Jeff) Langholff  of Fort Atkinson, WI.

In 1973 Ann moved to the Boscobel area.  During that time she shared nineteen years with special friend Tom Devine.  Ann lived a simple live and was very devout to her Catholic faith.  Ann will always be remembered for her fierce independence even to the end.  She had a love for gardening and a passion for animals and wild life.  You could find her watching birds out her kitchen window for hours.  Also, her talent for sewing and canning will never be forgotten by those who were on the receiving end of those items.

Ann is survived by her 5 children and their spouses, Brother Lawrence (Bud) Haumschild of Boscobel WI, sister Mary Revolinski of Edgerton WI, brother Donald (Linda) of Fort Atkinson WI, sister Alice (Ed) Ley of Oconto Falls WI, brother Robert (Arlene) Haumschild of Johnson Creek WI, eight grandchildren, seven  great grandchildren and Donna Nickels of Milton WI who considered Ann a second mother.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Mary Haumschild, sisters Ruth Quest, Irene Wunderlin, Delores (Dee Dee) Buske, brother James (Jimmy) Haumschild, husband Clarence Lee, fiancée  Tom Devine, great grandchild Molly Pechan, and her special four legged companion Chopper.

I'm thinking of you. We had an Oswald family death on the same day and funeral is at the same time and I'm unable to attend for Ann. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Kathy

Our deepest sympathy to all the family. You may not remember me (Arnie), but the years past are often remembered.
