Frederick "Fred" W. Staskal, age 93 of Boscobel, passed away on Monday July 27, 2015 at the Golden Living Center in Muscoda.  He was born on January 8, 1922 in Homer Twp. Grant County Wisconsin.  The son of John and Tressa (Ricks) Staskal.  He married Madeline Johnson on October 7, 1944 in Burbank Ca.   Fred was born in a log cabin.  Fred Served in the Naval Air Corp. during WWII.  His plane was shot down over the South Pacific and he still carries the shrapnel from that time.  After the war, Fred and his family shared many adventures.  They moved to Denver , Co. and opened a restaurant called IVK.  Later moving back to Boscobel, they opened The Town and Country drive in "Home of the Farm Boy". They eventually moved to Florida Keys where they trapped lobsters and enjoyed the beauty of the sea for 15 years. Upon retiring they became snow birds. Fred enjoyed life to the fullest  with many friends and family.  Fred Staskal will surely be missed by all.   He is survived by his wife Madeline Staskal of Muscoda, along with two daughters. He is also survived by 13 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren along with extended family.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Leonard and Edward Staskal. 2 Sisters: Eva King and Leata Hardy.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday July 30, 2015 at 12:00 P.M. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel.  Tricia  King officiating. Burial in the Boscobel Cemetery.  Friends may call on Thursday July 30, 2015  from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel. In lieu of flowers memorials can be given to the Boscobel Rescue Squad or the Alzheimer's Association. Military honors accorded by the Blake-Semrad American Legion Post # 134 and the Gilbertson-Pitzer-Radley VFW Post # 10393 both of Boscobel.

Hi I'm Betty Wilson Wellnitz oldest daughter. We loved Uncle Freddy. He and Aunt Matt came to Arkansas in their motor home to visit several times. Dorothy aunt Matt sister was mom's mother!
