Dear Friar Cousins,
I always think of Aunt Doris as so strong and independent and energetic. What a life she led. I really enjoyed visiting her a couple of times in the last several years and seeing her the same as always. My heartfelt condolences on the loss of your mom. I truly would like to be at the funeral but our son, who lives in S.C. will be arriving at our house Friday evening and leaving early Sunday. We will not see him again for many months. Otherwise I would be there. You are all in my thoughts.

Dear Friar Family,
Our hearts are sad for you at this time. We are rejoicing for Doris because she has been called home to God's garden. Doris was a very special friend to Chuck's Mom. They would telephone each other morning and night just to check in to be sure all was well with one another. Several times Lillian was not up to par so Doris stayed the night with her on Rosendale Road. Doris was a wonderful sprite of a lady, always a warm smile and concern for others.

Our thoughts and prayers,

Barb Wulf

To my old friend Rachael.
I'm so sorry to hear of your mother's passing and had no idea she lived
so near to me (McGregor, IA). Further, I had lost track of you and your
siblings. Have often thought of you, though and have fond memories of
our days at St Mary's. Your Mom always made me feel welcome to visit
at your house and I am glad to learn she lived such a full life. I lost my
own mother in 1986!
