Connie G. Childs, age 94 of Fennimore and formerly of Steuben, passed away on Thursday January 16,2014 at the Good Samaritan Society in Fennimore. She was born on September 20, 1919 in Marietta Township Crawford County Wisconsin. The daughter of
Reuben and Laura (Chandler) Havens. She married Thomas O. Childs on March 14, 1939 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua Iowa. He preceded her in death on October 14, 1975. She is survived by two sons Thomas (Carol) Childs of Burlington Wa. Allen (Sally) Childs of Yuma Az. Three daughters Vic Childs of Burlington Wa. Liz Kelley (Marv Zaruba) of Central City Iowa, Carol (John) Lewis of Arkansas . One sister Betty (Adrian) Jelinek of Black River Falls. 14 Grandchildren, 38 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Jean Funk, brother and sisters Lillian, Cap, Cliff, Barney and Myrt.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday January 21, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel. Pastor Eileen Kuehnl officiation. Burial at a later date in the Haney Ridge Cemetery Haney Township, Crawford County, Wisconsin. Liz & Marv, please accept my sincere sympathies. I have seen that Connie has had such a caring daughter over the years. God Bless all the family.

Dave and I were so sorry to hear of Aunt Con's passing. I was so glad we were able to see her at the Haven's reunion last summer and visit with her. I will think of her in heaven now with her family and friends. I bet they had a deck of cards in their hands when they greeted her.
You and your family will be in our hearts and prayers.
