You have my Christian sympathy. It is so difficult when we lose a parent. It seems that a part of childhood is gone when a parent dies. May you find comfort in the knowledge that you will one day see your father again because Jesus, our Lord, has promised.

My sympathies in your sudden loss. I never realized Torey and family were from Boscobel and was also surprised to read that Tom was an LB/Thrivent rep. I have been to weddings of friends that belong to your church. Small world...with some very common threads. I belong to Grace Lutheran (WELS) in PdC and have taught with Torey and Michelle for lots of years, but never knew the Boscobel connection. May God comfort you all through a really tough time and strengthen your faith in his love and promises for us all!

My thoughts and prayers are with the Bartels family as they deal with their loss of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, , uncle, and son-in-law. Please find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace with God, even though it isn't easy for those that knew and loved him. I was honored to see Tom recently when he and his wife attended Tami's Kohl Scholarship Award Ceremony. I am so happy they were able to share in Tami's special recognition ceremony. He was a very proud dad that day! God Speed to his family! We are all thinking of you! ~ Lu (friend of Tami and Chuck)

The Bartels family is in my thoughts and prayers now at the time. As a long time friend of Tami's, I have had the honor of knowing her wonderful family. Tom was a terrific husband and father. Our only comfort now is knowing that he is no longer suffering and has a special place in heaven. God Bless! Mary W.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I know how hard it is to deal with the loss of a parent. He was a good friend, a good father, a good teacher, a successful business man, great grandfather and a very good husband. He will be missed. If there is anything I can do please feel free to contact me!

Tracy, Stephanie & Family, How do we put one foot in front of the other and go on with life after such a loss? All I know is it has a lot to do with hugs and prayers. Our praise group in Potter prayed for you tonight. I didn't even know about your dad until I heard Jeanne pray for you and for your family, Tracy....what a shock.....My God our Father hold you in the palm of His hand and give you His peace.

Love, Kathy & Fuzzy Wieting
