Boscobel, WI – Rosemary A Waltz, age 84 of Boscobel passed away on Sunday Oct. 20, 2013 at Boscobel Area Hospital.
She was born on April 29, 1929 in Hickory Grove Township, Grant Co., WI the daughter of Carl and Teresa (Schuhart) Kretschman. She married Joseph Waltz on May 1, 1951 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fennimore.
Rosemary always loved the outdoors as a child on the family farm and that continued while she and Joe lived on the Waltz family farm. She was a true partner working side by side with Joe while owning their pop business as well as working in the fields cultivating and baling hay. Her house was always clean, laundry done and food on table. Her life’s passions were her faith and her family. Her strong belief in God helped her through the tough times. She was always quick to offer prayers to anyone in need. Rosemary had a huge heart with an unlimited capacity to love all who were part of her life. She was always quick to express her appreciation for any kindness. As a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, there was no greater gift than having her in our lives.
Rosemary is survived by her two children; Karol (Greg) Pomerening of Wauzeka, and Joe (Lyn) Waltz of Shoreline, WA, grandchildren; Ryan Pomerening of Wauzeka, and Mark Pomerening with son Daxton Joseph Pomerening also of Wauzeka, brothers; Carl (Julie) Kretschman of Fennimore and James (Rosalie) Kretschman of Fennimore, sister Joan (Bernard) Fiedler of Lancaster, many special nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband Joe, brother Bernard (Rita) Kretschman, sisters; Eileen (Don) Holzer, and Rita (Wencle) Kuchar, a nephew Harold Kretschman and sister-in-laws; Eileen (Vernie) Brechler and Kate (Vern) Whitish.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday Oct. 24, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Boscobel with burial to follow in the Boscobel Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday evening Oct. 23, 2013 at Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel with a Rosary Service to be held at 3:30 P.M., also at the funeral home. In lieu of plants and flowers, a memorial fund is being established in loving memory of Rosemary A. Waltz.
