Eugene R. Hartwig age 64 of rural Boscobel and formerly of Harvard Illinois, passed away on Thursday July 12, 2012 at his home in Boscobel. He was born on April 27, 1948 in Harvard Illinois.  The son of James and Dorothy (Sauers) Hartwig. He married Eileen Deneen on January 14, 1967 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Harvard Illinois.He owned and operated a plumbing  company  for several years.   He is survived by his wife Eileen Hartwig of Boscobel. Two sons Tim (Jamie) Hartwig of DeKalb Illinois, Edward "Ted" (Heather) Hartwig of Sharon Wisconsin. Six grandchildren. Two brothers James (Debra) Hartwig of Green Valley Az., William (Rayel) Hartwig of Harvard Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday July 31, 2012 at  11:00 A.M. St. Joseph Catholic Church in Harvard Illinois  . Friends may call on Monday July 30, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Saunders Funeral Home in Harvard Illinois.   Local arrangements were  handled by the Kendall Funeral Service in Boscobel .
