David N. Heffner, age 77 of Mt. Zion, passed away on Monday June 4, 2012 at Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua. He was born on December 26, 1934 in Scott Township Crawford County  Wisconsin  .  The son of Herb and Leta (Giddings) Heffner. He married Mildred Welsh on July 10, 1965  at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Gays Mills. When David started logging in the mid 1950's , he cut Maple  pin blocks, for bowling pins that were sold in Viola Wisconsin . He is survived by his wife  Millie Heffner of Mt. Zion. A brother Herbert Heffner of Lancaster Wi. Several Nieces and Nephews.  Three sister in laws; Loretta Roberson of Rockford Illinois, Carolyn Welsh of Boscobel , and Wonda Welsh of Colorado.  He was preceded by his parents, along with 1 brother Buford "Bud" Heffner. Two sister in laws Eleanor Heffner, Marie Heffner.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday June 8, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Boscobel.  Father Peter Auer officiating. Burial in the Union Hill Cemetery Mt. Zion. Friends may call on Friday June 8, 2012 from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M.  at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel. Millie, We are so sorry about Heffie. He is no longer suffering and at peace now. You know we are right here for you for anything you need. You have our deepest sympathy.

So sorry for the loss of out dear uncle David. I know you will miss him. I only wish I could be there, but at this time we cannot get away. I was hoping to get to see him atleast one more time. Now he will be out of pain, and rest in peace. God bless you and help you get thru this.
