Posted by: Eric Reynolds Wed May 16, 2018 | It's taken me years to finally say something and I am so sorry for not speaking sooner. Cha'Riah was my student at Dunbar HS. She was so full of life, kind, and caring. As an educator your students become "your kids" and my students were very much like my own children. Losing Cha'Riah was like losing a daughter. When I heard that she had passed my entire spirit was crushed. I felt a sadness I had never felt before. Cha'Riah had very special place in my heart. There isn't a single occurrence now where I think of her that I don't start crying. I remember the day that Cha'Riah came into my class to tell me that she was pregnant. She was happy, but very nervous at the same time. She was so sweet and always had that slight smile. I am so very sorry for your loss.
