Rosa Hoilman Sparks, age 95, of Hide Road, Bakersville, NC, passed away October 10, 2003, at Pittman Home Care in Bakersville, NC. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a Homemaker. She was the daughter of the late John and Lillie Hoilman, and a member of Cub Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by; Husband - Tulsa Sparks. Survivors include; Son - Claude Lewis Sparks, of Bakersville, NC, Sisters - Faye Robinson, and Thelma Phillips, both of Bakersville, NC, Clara Belle Arrowood, of Johnson City, TN, Brother - George Lee Hoilman, of Johnson City, TN, Grandson - Paul Newton, of Marion, NC. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 11 - 8PM, in the Chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home, with Richard Sparks officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will be Sunday, October 12 - 2PM in Slagle Cemetery, (Sweet Creek Road).
