Jack Ernest Sparks, age 39 of Jakes Branch Road, Spruce Pine NC died at his residence Monday, January 6, 2003. A native of Mitchell County,Nc he was a heavy equipment operator with Feldspar Corporation of Spruce Pine,NC. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and United Mine Workers. Survivors are: His wife Marsha Clark Sparks of Newland,NC. One son, Cameron Sparks of Newland,NC. His parents, Guy R and Edna Johnson Sparks of Bakersville,NC. Two sisters, Emma Jean Wiseman of Newland,NC and Pam Sparks of Spruce Pine,NC. Two brothers, Marty Sparks of Spruce Pine,Nc and Larry Sparks of Bakersville,NC.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January, 8at 8 Pm at Henline Hughes Chapel. Ministers will be, Reverend Don Stafford, Reverend Chris Davis and Reverend David Atkins. The family

will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm prior to the service. Interment will be Thursday, January 9
