Dear Cathy,

My sincere condolences on the loss of your son, Joey. I remember him fondly as one of the band kids in my first year teaching at Lehman. God bless!

I’m so sorry for your loss, Mr. and Mrs. Cortegerone. Joseph and I became good friends at Middlebury German School in the summer of 1999, and that fall he visited me in Cologne, Germany, where we attended a concert. I have such fond memories of our friendship, and I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing.
