Karen R. Bufalino, 62, of Falls, passed away on Saturday August 4, 2018  at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Plains Twp.
  
Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of Mary Edna Knecht, Falls, and the late Kenneth Davenport.

Karen was a 1974 graduate of Wyoming Area School District and a member of the WA Band Parents Association she also previously held positions in the WA Football Parents Association and Coached the WA Cheerleading Team. Karen held high level positions in the cellular industry and retired from Verizon wireless to stay at home with her family where she spent devote less hours on the farm with her horses, dogs, friends and family spreading her love and energy that she was well known for. Anyone that knew Karen knows there are too many accomplishments held by her to be listed here. Karen was a member of St. Joseph Marello Parish, Pittston.

She was preceded in death by her son Joseph in 2007 .

Surviving are her husband of 43 years, Joseph Bufalino and children, daughter Christina and her husband Lloyd Rittenhouse Jr.,  Wilkes-Barre; Gabriella and Angelo Bufalino, at home.

Also surviving are a grandson Lloyd “Bubba” Rittenhouse; sister Pamela and her husband Terry Dymond, Harding; sister-in-law Joanne Bufalino, Plains; Niece Shea Riley and her husband Greg Riley and their children Cadden and Lia, West Wyoming; and aunts, uncles and many cousins.

Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday from 5-8pm at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, LLC, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.
  
Funeral services will be on Thursday at 9:00am followed by a  Mass of Christian burial at 9:30am at  St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William St., Pittston.  
  
Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery , Schooley St . , Exeter .

Joe my mom wanted me to offer our condolences to you on the passing of your wife Karen. Our family sends our deepest sympathy to you and your wife Karen. We offer you a bit of comfort in that she will be with you in all your days.
