Mary C. Brennan, 87, of West Pittston, passed away on  Thursday March 8, 2018 at the Little Flower Manor Nursing Home, Wilkes-Barre with her family by her side.

Born in Minooka, she was the daughter of the late Michael J. and Bridget Summeral Brennan.

Mary was a graduate of West Pittston High School Class of 1948, and was a member of Corpus Christi Parish at Immaculate Conception Church, 605 Luzerne Ave., West Pittston, 18643 where she had also volunteered her time, and served as an office secretary and eucharist minister .

She  worked at the Miners Bank in Pittston,and retired as the  office manager of the Chinchilla branch after a long career with  the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co.

She was preceded in death by her sister and brother in law Helen and Kosty Harzinski.

Surviving are her sisters: Ann, wife of the late Frank Brannon, Sr., West Pittston and Clare and her husband Joseph Salerno, Exeter and a brother Robert and his wife Barbara Brennan, Fanwood, N.J, along with numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews who all adored her.

Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday from 5-8pm at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.

Funeral services will be on Thursday at 9:30am from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00am at Corpus Christi Parish in Immaculate Conception Church, West Pittston.

The pastor, Msgr. John Sempa will be celebrant.

Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.

The family would like to thank the third floor staff of Little Flower Manor for the exceptional care Mary received there while she was a resident.

Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to the Social Concerns Committee of Corpus Christi Parish.
