Edward F. Slavinski, 72, of Exeter, passed away on Tuesday September 12, 2017 at his home with his loving wife, the former Eileen Dunn, by his side.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Dominick and Mary Deptula Slavinski.

Ed was a member of St. Cecilia Church and was a graduate of GAR High School Class of 1964.

Ed retired from working at the Tobyhanna Army Depot.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served his country during the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Slavinski.

Surviving are his wife of 42 years, the former Eileen Dunn and a sister Joanne and her husband Frank Wojcik, Milford, Pa., along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday September 23, 2017 from 9am until 10am at St. Cecilia's Church ( St. Barbara Parish, Exeter.

The Msgr. John Sempa will celebrate the Mass of Christian burial  at 10am at St. Cecilia's Church, Wyoming Ave., Exeter.

Interment will be in St. Cecilia's Cemetery, Exeter.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests any  donations be made to the Social Concerns Committee of St. Barbara Parish, 224 Memorial St., Exeter.or to the Exeter Post 833 American Legion, Attn: Cmdr. Don Hudock.
