Margaret M. Chiazza, 82, formerly of Hazle St.,  Swoyersville, passed away on Wednesday July 19, 2017 at the Wayne Center, Wayne, Pa.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Lipus Almasie.

She was a mother homemaker most of her life until all her children went off to college.  She returned to the workplace in a clerical administration role for Benco Dental where she later retired.

Margaret was a member of St. Barbara Parish at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph J. Chiazza on April 26, 2013.

Surviving are her six children: David, Malvern, Pa.; Richard, Marlton, N.J.; Kimberly, Luzerne, Pa.; Mark, West Chester, Pa.; Gary, Valley Forge, Pa, and Kevin, Norristown, Pa.

Grandchildren: Kyle, Angelina, Keirstin, Jared, Brandon, Ryan, Morgan, and Leila

Great Granchild: Maddison

Also a brother John Almasie, North Carolina, and a sister Ann Almasie Curley, Wilkes-Barre.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 9:00am from the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.

A Mass of Christian burial follow at 9:30am at St. Barbara Parish in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 224 Memorial St. Exeter with the Rev. Michael Finn, pastor, as celebrant.

Interment will be in Italian Independent Cemetery, West Wyoming.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday from 8am until time of services at the funeral home
