Music by The Piano Brothers

Marie Priscilla Hromisin, 82, of Swoyersville, was called home peacefully on June 9, 2017.

Born on August 15, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Washko Kislow.

Marie was a life-long resident of Swoyersville and graduated from Swoyersville High School.  A devout Catholic, Marie was a member of the Holy Family Parish, Luzerne.

Marie raised her sons, Ralph and Ronald, as a single mother for many years following the early death of her husband, Bernard, in 1972. She was lovingly and tirelessly devoted to helping and enjoying her family and was a compassionate caregiver in many ways.  She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her home, going to Church, cooking, listening to music, and spending time with her family, and attending her grandchildren's school and sports events.  She always had an endearing smile for everyone and her memory is forever engrained in our hearts and souls and will constantly inspire our lives with goodness, generosity and love.

Marie is survived by sons Ralph Scott and his wife Carol, Larksville, and Ronald Stuart and his wife Nadine, Dallas.; five grandchildren, Scott, Kelcie, Brian, Kyle and Evan, and several nieces and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard, stepfather Edward Zabitski , sister, Dorothy Hromisin, and brothers, Stephen and Edward.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 9:00am from the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 9:30am at Holy Family Parish, Bennett St., Luzerne.

Interment will follow at the St.John Nepomucene Cemetery, Courtdale.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home.
