Rosemary Susan ( Baiera) Hieronymous, 71, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away unexpectedly on January 23, 2017 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Plains Township, Pa.

Born in Pittston, she was the beloved daughter of the late James J. Baiera and Susan E. Blandina Baiera.

Rosemary graduated from West Pittston High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wilkes University. She also received a Masters of Education degree in counseling from Antioch University.  She worked as a certified licensed vocational rehabilitation counselor and provided vocational, medical rehabilitation and case management services on behalf of disabled clients, insurance companies and employers.  She had worked for many rehabilitation agencies throughout Pa. for 35 years of her career.

           Rosemary retired and returned to Wyoming Valley last May.She enjoyed friends and her loving family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed Book Club meetings with her friends. She was a gourmet cook and loved her time with the Wilkes Barre chapter of Unico, an Italian American Service Association. She will be greatly missed for her loving, outgoing personality and kindness to all who knew her.

Surviving are her husband Jerome Hieronymous and a son James J.Hieronymous, Wilkes-Barre and her sister Leona B. and her husband Ronald A. Olson, M.D., Naples, Fl along with her nephew Christian J. Olson, Esq. and his wife Caroline G. Olson, Esq. and their children Ava A., Nicholas N. and Sidney S. of Delray Beach, Fl.

Funeral services are private and have been entrusted to  the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.

Jerome, J.J., Leona, Ron and family, we were so sorry to hear of your loss. Rosemary was one of the sweetest people, truly selfless in caring for her family, always friendly, always cheerful. Every life she touched is better because of her. May you find comfort and peace in a million happy memories.
