Music by The Piano Brothers

Terence Perfetto, 45, a resident of Hughestown, has taken up a new residence.  He passed away on September 13, 2016 and now lives with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and other believers in Heaven.  Terry loved Jesus and carried Him in his heart. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.." Luke 18:16,17.

He was the son of Gail and Paul Johnson and Anthony Perfetto, Jr.  He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Giovanni and Adeline Pace; paternal grandmother, Mary Louise Johnson; paternal grandfather, Anthony Perfetto, Sr.; uncle Rudolph Pace; aunts, Rofina Johnson and Sr. Virginia Pace.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his brother, Joshua Johnson, aunts and uncles, Elaine and Thomas Olerta, JoAnn and George Weiss, Mary Rebecca Johnson, and Marian and John McNevin and several cousins.

He graduated from the Wilkes-Barre Area VoTech/L.I.U. # 18 in 1992. He attended Day Development Program and Cori's Place.
Terry had many interests.  He liked to fish at his friend Sandy's place at Forest Lake. He caught two large bass while fishing with Dad.  He also liked to fish with Uncle George. He helped Uncle Tom wash cars.  TV favorites were the Waltons, Little House on the Prairie, and the Muppets.  Two movie favorites were Ben Hur and the Ten Commandments.  He bowled with his friend, Susan , swam in the family pool, loved to eat out, go to the the Cinemark , dabble with watercolors, and play pool with Mom and Dad.  Above all, his favorite place to visit was the seashore.

Terry was very wise.  When Aunt Elaine and Aunt JoAnn asked, "Whose skellies ( spaghetti) do you like better?" He always answered "Both". He was very wise in choosing Paul as his father. He experienced the warmth of his love for 34 years.
He had a quiet, gentle spirit and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Duane Deivert of Geisinger Health System for his kindness, compassion, and concern throughout the years.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11am at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Luzerne Ave., West Pittston on October 1, 2016 . Pastor Donald Strope will officiate.

Family and friends may visit at the church from 10am until the time of the service.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family at St. Rocco's Cemetery, Pittston.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian  and Missionary Alliance Church, Luzerne Ave., West Pittston, the Pittston Memorial Library , Broad St., Pittston, or Geisinger Health System, Oncology Dept., 100 N. Academy Ave., Danville, Pa.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.

Dear Gail, Paul, and Josh, So very sorry that your hearts are hurting. For parents to loose a child, or a son to loose his brother is far beyond my understanding, yet I know where your comfort comes from. Your memories will serve you well and The Holy Spirit will lead and guide you thru this time. My memories of Terry were from the summer program at CDC in West Pittston. Remembering Terry at the JCC swimming pool brings a smile, even now. He touched lives and those who knew him will remember him, I am sure..Blessings and Peace, Mary Cawley Noble
