Lisa Marconi, 93, died peacefully on Wednesday July 20, 2016 at home.  

Lisa was born on September 15, 1922 in Kittanning, Pa. to the late Baldo and Mary Taroli.  

She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 61 years, David Marconi, who died in 2005 and her brother  Guy Taroli of Old Forge,Pa.

At a young age the family moved to Old Forge, Pa. where she was educated in the public school and later worked in the local garment industry.  After marriage, Lisa lived most of her adult life in West Pittston, Pa. where she raised her family .

In retirement, she traveled extensively around the world. She also enjoyed bus trips to Atlantic City and New York City shows.  She also enjoyed playing bingo and pinochle.

She is survived by her children, David (Kathleen), Clayton, N.C., Daniel ( Nitwipha), Leland, N.C. with whom Lisa resided, and Lucretia Edwards (Edward), Sanford, N.C.

Lisa is also survived by grandchildren, David, Derrick (Kristee) and Kimberly Hasley ( Thomas), and Danielle Lisa.

Lisa is also survived by great grandchildren, Jack, Anthony, Brandon, Benjamin, James, Macy, Ryan, and Isabella .

Relatives and friends may call on Monday September 19, 2016 from 6-8pm  at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.


Entombment will be in Mount Olivet Mausoleum, Carverton, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, N.C. 28401

Grandma Marconi was loved by everyone. We feel so blessed that our children had time to get to know their great grandmother. We will miss her, but we know she is watching over us from heaven.
