Elaine Panzitta, 61, of Washington, DC, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at George Washington University Hospital, Washington, DC. Born in Wyoming, she was the daughter of Michael and Anna (nee Gentile) Panzitta.
She lived in Washington DC for many years where she was a legal consultant and grew up in Wyoming and Exeter, PA.
She graduated with honors from Wyoming Area High School, and later received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Panzitta graduated from The Delaware Law School of Widener University and practiced law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She was passionate about issues of social justice and enjoyed the art and culture offered in the nation’s capital city. Ms. Panzitta will be heartfully missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Ms. Panzitta is survived by her sisters Susan (Washington, DC) and Carla Panzitta, her nephew Evan Santoro and niece Melina Santoro (all of Summit, NJ).
A private viewing and funeral ceremony will be held for family.
Interment will be in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to a charity of choice.
