Elizabeth M. Tocheny, 83, of Wyoming, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016, at Geisinger South, Celtic Hospice Inpatient Unit, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Exeter, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Margaret Guydoszik Yarina.

Mrs. Tocheny was a member of St. Barbara Parish at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter.

She owned and operated Yarina's Cafe, Exeter, with her mother and father, then worked in the garment industry.  Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Nationwide Data Systems, Wilkes-Barre.

Her loving husband of 42 years, William G. Tocheny preceded her in death on May 22, 2001, in addition to sister, Francis Bowen, Exeter.

Surviving are daughters, Debbie (Robert) Hetro, Exeter and Lisa (Nicholas) DeAngelo, Wyoming; grandchildren, Robert and Leandra Hetro, Daniella, Elena and Julianna DeAngelo; sisters, Evelyn (Joseph) Serino, Roseann Zanders, Patricia (Alfred) Sylvester; brother, Stephen Yarina, all of Exeter.  She also leaves behind her darling "Precious".

The family would like to express their gratitude to nursing staff at GWV, especially Nurse Amanda and Phlebotomist Barbara, and the nursing staff at Celtic Hospice Care to their commitment to the compassionate care they provided to Elizabeth.

Funeral services will be on Thursday at 9am at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.
A mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 am at St. Barbara Parish in St Anthony of Padua Church, 28 Memorial Ave, Exeter.  The Rev. Michael Finn, pastor will be celebrant.

Interment will be in St. John's Slovak Cemetery, Schooley St., Exeter.

Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday from 5pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
