Mary L. Saksa, 86, of Wyoming, passed away at her home on Friday May 6, 2016 surrounded by her family.
Born in Wyoming, she was the daughter of the late John and Maria Conversini Zurla.
Mary attended Wyoming Schools and was a member of St. Barbara Parish at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter.
Prior to her retirement, she worked as a floor lady for various local dress factories in the garment industry, where she also belonged to the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
She was preceeded in death by her brothers: Romeo, Mario and Joseph Zurla and sisters Vera Meschini and Helen Carpenter.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Peter Saksa, and a daughter Jacqueline and her husband Richard Davis, Wyoming, grandchildren Richard and Amber Davis. Also sisters Eileen Milnick, Ca., and Madeline Zurla, Wyoming, numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call on Monday from 8:30am until 9:30am at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.
A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10am at St. Barbara Parish in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 28 Memorial Ave., Exeter with the Rev. Michael Finn, pastor, as celebrant.
Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
