Matthew A. MacDonald, 36,  passed away unexpectedly on April 17, 2016 in Harrisonburg, Va.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he  was the son of Michael MacDonald, Virginia Beach and the late Joan Lewis Gunning.

Matthew was a graduate of Wyoming Area High School, received 2 Associate degrees  and had lived and worked in the Virginia area.

Surviving are his children: Jeffrey, 14, Deanna 11, and Ryleigh 7.

Also a brother Jeffrey Gunning, Philadelphia and a sister Joan Mitchell, West Pittston.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 2pm until 4pm at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.
