An Angel has left the earth and gone home to her place in heaven.

Rosemary Angela Galli, 75, of Pittston, passed away peacefully at home on on Monday September 28, 2015.

Born in the Old Boston section of Jenkins Twp., she was the daughter of the late Carmen and Josephine Rome Iannuzzo.  

Rosemary was a 1958 graduate of Jenkins Twp. High School and shortly afterwards, she graduated from Bradford Beauty Academy, Wilkes-Barre.
She then went on to Robert Francis Design, New York City and later began working at Pomeroys Beauty Salon, Wilkes-Barre.  She became a state certified owner and operator of Rosemary’s Hair Design, Exeter for many years.

In 1990 she had worked for Luzerne County District Courts. She was always very active in many charitable organizations and received many awards for her caring and humble dedication.
She had received the “ Community Woman of the Year” from the American Business Women;s Association of Wyoming Valley. She was also nominated for the Times leader Humanitarian Award. She was a member of the Women’s Network Pittston Chamber of Commerce.

Rosemary enjoyed dancing, reading and traveling. She was an excellent cook and baker.
She belonged to St. Barbara Parish at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter.

Surviving are her sons, David, at home, Marc, Wyoming, and sisters Florence Stanton, Parsippany,New Jersey, Marie O’Donovan, Jenkins Twp., and Joan Pellegrini and her husband Joseph, Exeter, Ann Farrell and her husband Edward, Exeter, along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held  on Thursday at 9am from the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.  A Mass of Christian burial will be at 9:30am at St. Barbara Parish in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 28 Memorial St. Exeter.
Entombment will be in Mount Olivet Mausoleum, Carverton.

Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7pm at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Barbara Parish or to the Cancer Society, or to Candy's Place.
