Norma C.(Lello) Ondek, 85, of West Pittston, formerly of Exeter, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Sunday, February 15, 2015.

Born in Exeter, she was the daughter of the late Silvio and Josephine Colarusso Lello.

Norma was a graduate of Exeter High School and a lifelong member of St. Barbara Parish at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter.

Prior to her retirement, Norma worked at the Star Stitching , Exeter.

Preceding her in death was her husband, George "Spencer" Ondek, and brothers Joseph and Peter Lello; sisters Anna L. Daley, Carolyn A. Lello and Rosemarie Kasper.

Surviving are her son Jeffrey Ondek and his wife Bobbie, Plains, and daughters Maria Ondek, McKinney, Texas and Catherine J. Ondek, Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Grandchildren Jonathan Ondek, Wyoming, and Steven Presciutti and his wife Maura, Chicago, Illinois, one great grandson Max Presciutti, and numerous nieces and nephews and good friends.

Norma had a love of life, family, friends, and her Italian heritage.  She was known for her infectious laughter, joy of singing and music, and incomparable pies, especially her banana cream pie.  She strongly valued the importance of human kindness, and especially to those who were experiencing hardship.  She will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:00am from the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter, with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, ( St. Barbara Parish) 28 Memorial St., Exeter, with the Rev. Michael Finn, pastor, as celebrant.

Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schooley St. , Exeter.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday from 4 until 8pm at the funeral home.

Norma was one of the nicest ( and of the few intelligent) people In this building. She always had time for me whenever I had a personal problem and I will miss her so much. My only regret is that I did not spend more time with her.
