The beautiful Angela Vitelli Stella, 59, of Exeter, passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 10, 2015 at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart , Dunmore, surrounded by her loving family.

With wit and wisdom, she led a life filled with laughter, smiles, and a kind heart that made a positive impact on the lives of so many.  An avid gardener, she felt most at home dibbling in the greenhouse or in her backyard garden, but it was her love for the sun, sand and sea that was most inspiring and uplifting to her.

A 1973 graduate of Wyoming Area High School and a 1976 graduate of Pittston Hospital School of Nursing, she was a skilled and compassionate nurse who upheld the highest standards of the field.  She began her career at the Dept. of Veteran Affairs Medical Center and was most recently employed at Riverview Ambulatory Surgical Center, Kingston, a  position she called the best job of her life.  Above all, she valued and took immense pride in her family and two daughters.

Missing her most will be her loving husband of 37 years, Joseph, her daughter Vanessa,Exeter her daughter and son in law Elizabeth and John Fitzgerald,Baltimore, Md., her two older brothers, Albert and his wife Joyce, Pittsburgh, and David, Chandler, Az. along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday from 5pm until 8pm at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.

Funeral services will be on Saturday at 11:30am from the funeral home with a mass of Christian burial  at noon at St. Barbara Parish in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 28 Memorial St., Exeter, with the Rev. Joseph Sibilano, O.S.J., officiating.

Interment will be in Denison Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 100 William St., Dunmore, Pa. 18512, whose entire staff provided so much care and compassion for Angela and her family.

Joe and I are deeply saddened at losing one of the most beautiful women we have ever known. Angela's distinctive laugh, wide smile, and true compassion will be her legacy. After 30 years, we still fondly recall those Monday night prenatal classes and strawberry pie afterwards. What else do you say about someone you have known for almost 47 years except we love you and will never ever forget you. To Joe and the girls, our love and prayers.

I think I can speak for Wyoming Area's entire class of 1973💚💛...in saying that our hearts are BROKEN!💔
To know Angela, was to LOVE HER!
Our dads were in the same line of work selling & repairing vacuum cl9eaners! They were in competition, but we're good friends. Angela's dad (Al) told me to look for his baby girl, when I got to 7th grade... that September I looked for & met Angela! I still remember that day, it was so nice for this West Pittston girl to have a new friend from Exeter!
Her infectious giggle, her good nature made it so easy to be friends! I always looked forward to our class reunions, to catch up with Angela. She will be so sorely missed by so many friends!
Keeping you Joe and girls in our hearts, our thoughts and our prayers. 🙏
I hope the Vitelli and Stella families find comfort... knowing that life on Earth is but a blink but Eternity lasts forever!!
Did you know that if you backspace after you type Angela...it spells out Angels!! 😇
Rest In Peace Angela, FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS!! XO 💕
