Corrine U. Ciarmatori, 87, formerly of Exeter, passed away Thursday morning September 25, 2014 at the Abington Manor Nursing Home, Clarks Summit.

Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the lateAlbert and Mary Gubitose Russo.

She was a member of St. Barbara Parish at St. Cecilia’s Church, Exeter and was a graduate of Jenkins Twp. Schools.

Prior to her retirement, she worked as a bookkeeper at BF Goodrich Corp. Also known for her baking skills, she sold anise and pepper cookies.

Corrine was preceded in death by her husband Libro in 1992 and son baby Joseph Ciarmatori, a grandson Ian Wiles, brother Joseph Russo and a sister Sally Hamilton.

Surviving are her children: Libro Ciarmatori and his wife Mary Jane, Mountaintop, and Eugene and his wife Kathy, San Antonio, TX.;Theresa and her husband Ronald Wiles, Athens, Mary and her husband Mitch Valburg, Clark Summit, .  Also 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Saturday at 9:00am from the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am at St. Cecilia’s Church, Wyoming Ave., Exeter. The Rev. Michael Finn, pastor will be celebrant.

Interment will be in St. Rocco’s Cemetery, Pittston.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday from 5 until 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mary,
My prayers and thoughts are with your family in this time. Corrine was such a joy to have at Elmcroft. We all loved her so much. She is a very special person always loving and caring. She will be missed.
